ANATTÁ
Anattá [anat-tá] is a socially driven private enterprise. At its core Anatta’s approach celebrates and values the contribution of all territorial stakeholders in finding sustainable and resilient solutions to today’s wicked development problems. The ancestral meaning of Anattá comes from the Sanskrit language which means “non self”. Anatta’s understanding is that we are what we live by, experiment, and feel. In other words, we are the result of the environment we inhabit and of how we give meaning to our lives through experience.
Our corporate concept, embedded in ancestral thought, can’t be totally explained without the necessary experience. It is a way-of-life. This concept guides our day-to-day activities by posing challenging questions to contribute to innovative and resilient solutions to today’s greatest challenges. Are we doing all we can? Is our contribution positive and effective? Are there better ways to obtain meaningful results? How do we learn from previous experiences and what can we do differently? Posing challenging questions is at the core of our corporate vision and mission.
What we do
Anatta’s knowledge-based approach builds on a multidimensional reading of territorial dynamics, social relations, the economic base, use of natural resources. We provide the best possible inputs to strengthen policy development and guide the allocation of scarce resources to improve livelihoods and territorial resilience. Anattá also coordinates and implements territorial development programs and projects with emphasis on social innovation, research and development, scalable and adequate technology transfers, and energy transition strategies.
Vision
Contribute to the integral development of individuals by fostering new experiences and opportunities at both the individual and collective scales to strengthen responsible social choice and justice. Integral development goes beyond economic well-being and growth, by building on mechanisms of public discussion and participation, which in turn foster responsible social choice by expanding access to a widening array of given and potentially better alternatives. At the core of this vision are regenerative models and capacity building processes which expand social and environmental awareness.
Mission
Support and foster regenerative and socially just development through knowledge-based processes and models of social action. We do this by generating collaboratively qualified information with social, government and private stakeholders to support the decision-making processes and responsible social choice.
